Haitong Lan
I am a first-year master’s student in Computer Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University, advised by Prof. Ziping Zhao. I began my graduate studies in September 2026.
My research interests are in optimization, particularly optimization on probability spaces and over probability distributions, and statistics. I am drawn to the mathematical foundations of these areas and the connections between them.
Previously, I completed my undergraduate studies at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT). From June 2024 to June 2025, I was a visiting student in the group of Prof. Junjie Ma at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (AMSS).
I welcome conversations about shared research interests.
